I define myself as an intricate mix of a person, but aren’t we all?

For starters, I am a woman by nature, which according to a vast majority of the human population makes me an undecipherable phenomenon. To make matters more complicated, I am a filmmaker by choice, meaning I find satisfaction in staying long hours on set, without eating or sleeping for days if necessary, just to get that perfect shot. I love writing stories and telling them to as many people as possible, which means I’m very social and imaginative. I’m also extremely empathic, somehow funny and way too complex for an “about me” section, but I’ll give it a go anyway.

My fuel is music, literature, and cinema; reasons why you will either see me with headphones on tapping my fingers, completely immersed reading a book, with eyes wide open at the movies or cleaning the house... but that’s another story. In short, my future is a never-ending masterpiece of a film, of which I am the writer, director, producer, and editor.

Visual Arts was where it all started, and is still a seriously active side endeavor. I took a shot in acting, culinary, and even had a colossal failed attempt at law school before I found both myself and home in film; a profession that leaves me permanently ambitious and overwhelmingly satisfied.

I believe in living a life of passion, love, and commitment. I believe that doing things out of obligation or comfort, takes life away from you; that’s why I declare filmmaking my life, my passion, my profession, and my lover; I’m sure that it will kill me, but I love it, and a love that doesn’t kill it’s not worth loving.

“Find what you love and let it kill you. Let it drain from you your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness. Let it kill you, and let it devour your remains.

For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it's much better to be killed by a lover.

Falsely yours,

Henry Charles Bukowski"

Truly yours,

Juls
